Movie : License To Wed

adie Jones (Mandy Moore) has always longed to marry the man of her dreams in her family church. Though she has found her lifetime companion in Ben Murphy (John Krasinski), Sadie is distressed to learn that St. Augustine's has only one wedding slot available over the next two years, though after re-checking their planning book, they find that the wedding can be held in three weeks. While Sadie and Ben do qualify for the slot, the church's eccentric minister, Reverend Frank (Robin Williams), will not wed the couple until they agree to attend his prenuptial course (shortened, due to the new date, from three months to three weeks). Now as their wedding date draws near, Sadie and Ben must attend every one of Reverend Frank's unusual classes and complete a series of homework assignments designed specifically to irritate one another — in order to get past puppy love and ensure that their union will have a sound foundation.

I don't know why this movie got low box office because i enjoyed it. I mean Jim from "The Office" is in it and some other cameo's from Angela, Kevin and Kelly Kapur was great. Mandy Moore is reason enough to watch it, she looks good in this one, and the humor is something like the office which i love, the only thing that didn't work for me was the corny jokes of Robin Williams who clearly has seen better days and that kid he is with, he's just creepy like the twin robot baby's. The movie gets a lower score because of them but this movie is watchable and funny and true at times.

Movie : Ratatouille

Pixar does it again, i thought Toy Story was the best ever when it came out but Pixar just keeps upping up the ante. Ratatouille is a movie about Remi the rat and his struggle to find himself and all this set in a famous restaurant in Paris. You might cringe at the thought of rats in a restaurant and even the restaurant gets closed down for that reason, but the moral is no matter how rich or poor or whatever you believe you are in life, it is not a reason to stop going for what you really want. In todays society where we are used to conforming to the standards we believe set for us, the movie deffers and teaches us to value ourselves and self worth. Ratatouille telss us to go for our dreams and not merely accpet our current status and with that the movie succeeds for me.

Movie : Trade

This is a really good movie, it stops and make you think that while you are doing your daily routine, there are 1 million persons bieng traded around in the world for forced sex. This movie shows the inner workings of sex trafficking in Mexico. This movie should teach us that if we are to work on another country, we have to make sure that the peope helping us get there, will not exploit us in the end. The only recognizable character i know in Trade is Kevin Kline yet all the other cast give outstanding performances. It really makes you think, especially the scenes where they rent out the girl in the middle of nowhere where numerous assholes do their deed in makeshift huts with egg timers as watches. Thought provoking and you haven't seen it then you should, it wont give you special effects or fancy fight scenes, but i gaurantee you it will make you think...The simple story of a brother finding his sister will get you thinking even long after you have seen this movie.......

Deck The Halls

Ok first holiday movie review as were approaching the holiday season.

The movie was ok, i dont know why it got bad reviews because for a holiday movie it was ok for me. Deck The Halls may not deliver on many levels but it gives you enough to laugh and tug at your heart, and come on, its a christmas movie so thats one more reason its good.
Deck The Halls will entertain the family just enough and get you in the spirit of holiday cheer too.

Plot: This holiday comedy is centered around two neighbors in a small New England town who go to war when one of them decides to decorate his house with a so many Christmas lights that they are visible from space. The neighborhood is turned upside down as the families try to discover the true meaning of Christmas.

Deck The Halls was released November 22, 2006

War

Have you seen this movie??
granted the pacing needs improvement and the story is flawed itself but overall you are strapped on to a ride where you think you know where it ends but just when you arrive, a wrench is thrown and you end up with a very nice twist at the end... thoroughly enjoyed it.

Plus if your in it for the action, Jason Stathem and Jet Li are just a few names in this movies bag full of action, it wont disappoint.

Plot: After his partner Tom Lone (Terry Chen) and family are killed apparently by the infamous and elusive assassin Rogue (Jet Li), FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) becomes obsessed with revenge as his world unravels into a vortex of guilt and betrayal. Rogue eventually resurfaces to settle a score of his own, igniting a bloody crime war between Asian mob rivals Chang (John Lone) of the Triad’s and Yakuza boss Shiro (Ryo Ishibashi). When Jack and Rogue finally come face to face, the ultimate truth of their pasts will be revealed.

War is a must see movie...

Justice League Movie

Warner Bros. is moving aggressively ahead with the big screen adaptation of DC Comics' Justice League of America, with George Miller (Happy Feet) on board to direct, reports Variety.

The project, which is in the initial phases of casting, is a pre-strike priority for the studio, which needs a superhero tentpole in 2009.

Still, making all the pieces fit has been complicated by overlapping superhero projects in the pipeline, since "Justice League" features a pantheon of superheroes, including Superman and Batman.

Batman and Superman are active properties for the studio, though the next installment in the Superman franchise has taken a backseat to "Justice League" in part because Warners is so keen on the "Justice League" script by Kieran and Michele Mulroney.

"Justice League" will likely feature the characters of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash and Aquaman.

The project is so complicated -- and casting dependent -- that even those deeply involved in the project are holding their breath until production begins.

"They're working very hard to get it to happen," said one party close to the project. "But there are so many characters it's complicated."

This would be a major undertaking bringing the Justice League Movie to the big screen.

Trade

Plot Summary: When 13-year-old Adriana (Paulina Gaitan) is kidnapped by sex traffickers in Mexico City, her 17-year-old brother, Jorge (Cesar Ramos), sets off on a desperate mission to save her. Trapped by an underground network of international thugs who earn millions exploiting their human cargo, Adriana's only friend throughout her ordeal is Veronica (Alicja Bachleda), a young Polish woman captured by the same criminal gang. As Jorge dodges overwhelming obstacles to track the girl's abductors, he meets Ray (Kevin Kline), a Texas cop whose own family loss leads him to become an ally. From the barrios of Mexico City and the treacherous Rio Grande border, to a secret internet sex slave auction and a tense confrontation at a stash house in suburban New Jersey, Ray and Jorge forge a close bond as they frantically pursue Adriana's kidnappers before she is sold and disappears into a brutal underworld from which few victims ever return. Inspired by Peter Landesman's chilling NY Times Magazine story on the U.S. sex trade, "The Girls Next Door," "Trade" is a thrilling story of courage and a devastating exposé of one of the world's most heinous crimes.
